Seek and Peek!

Seek and Peek! on the IOS

Seek and Peek! is an artwork and participatory game experience produced by DC Spensley and Peter Spangler.

The object of the game is to guess a visual puzzle that reveals itself over time. The puzzle image starts out blank.  Players scan QR codes scattered throughout the space using their mobile devices to reveal small squares of the puzzle image. Everyone gets to see the puzzle on their mobile phone as it develops, providing many opportunities to guess the puzzle by entering text on your mobile device and submitting it to the game server.

Player guesses are also featured on the “gallery view” video projection along with the puzzle in progress.

Seek and Peek! was “performed” November 9th, 2012 at San Francisco’s Performance Art Institute as part of “The Future Imagined” and produced by independent Bay Area curator Hanna Regev as part of the 2012 ZERO1 Biennial Exhibition.
